Letter of Invitation
The conference organisation will be pleased to send a formal letter of invitation to delegates requesting an invitation letter for visa purposes. It is understood that such an invitation is intended to help potential delegates to raise funds or to obtain a visa. This does not imply a commitment from the conference organisers to provide any financial support.

Local Transportation
From railway station (Tiszai pályaudvar) take the tram (irrelevant which one) and travel to Szinvapark/Centrum. Then change to a bus (No. 20) and travel to University of Miskolc (Egyetemváros). Here You can see the main entrance of the university. Total travel time is approx. 30-40 minutes. Tickets valid for all public transport can be bought in the shops inside railway station. You need 2 tickets for this one-way travel, or you can buy day pass or tourist pass for 3 days, when you would like to travel and visit to city centre/other places. The travel cost for 2 tickets is HUF 2x350=700, for day pass is HUF 1200, for tourist pass for 3 days is HUF 3000.

A taxi from Tiszai railway station to the university is approx. HUF 1900 (no extra charges for suitcases).
Tickets are available in ticket offices, kiosks and also in the vehicles,but a bit more expensive and the driver cannot give a change most of the time and they doesn't speak English most of the time as well.
Airport Transfer
You can choose from several Airport Transfer companies. They offer one way transfer and round trip from the airport to the given address and back. A round trip price is about 40 euros

Official language
The official working language at the conference is English and no translation is offered.
Passport and visa
The entry formalities for the Hungary vary according to the country of origin. There are no visa requirements for EU passport holders. Other conference delegates are asked to address enquiries about entry and vaccination requirements to the travel agent or to the local Hungarian Embassy / Consulate / Representation in the home country. All foreign citizens must be the holder of a valid passport.

Participants are requested to arrange for their personal travel and health insurance. Neither the Organisers nor the Conference Secretariat will assume any responsibility whatsoever for damage or injury to persons or property during the conference.

Climate
In September is late summer in Hungary, and this is the warmest time of year. The weather is normally very pleasant but the nights can also be chilly. An umbrella may be useful. Daytime average temperature is above 20° C, evening temperature above 10° C.

Currency and money exchange
The currency in Hungary is Hungarian Forint (HUF). 1 Euro is approx. 350 HUF and 1 USD is approx. 290 HUF as per May 2021.

Most shops and restaurants accept Euro, but at very bad exchange rate. Pay with HUF or prefer credit card. Credit and debit cards are widely accepted – also in taxis.
Please do not exchange money at the Airport! Their rates are extremely bad.
Banks
Normal banking hours are from 08:00 to 16:00 hrs. Monday to Friday. There are ATMs usually located in connection with a bank branch, which accept a variety of international credit cards. The cards accepted are indicated on the dispenser. You can find an ATM at the university.
Shops
The shops are open from 09:00/10:00 to 18:00/20:00 hrs. Monday through Sunday.
Tips
Tips are not included in the prices given in taxis and restaurants in Hungary, although some restaurants using service fee, please check the bill. Tipping is appreciated.
Smoking ban
Smoking is banned in all indoor public places in Hungary. It has been forbidden to smoke in 5 meter radius from the entrance of schools, universities, dormitories and other higher education institutions. Furthermore, it is not allowed to smoke in public transport, and 5 meter radius from bus stops, pubs, bars, restaurants and in national institutions. It is also forbidden for children under the age of 18 to buy cigarettes, even enter the tobacco shops. The sale of tobacco is limited to state-controlled (but privately owned) tobacco shops called Nemzeti Dohánybolt (National Tobacco Shop).
The conference is a no-smoking event and smoking is not permitted at the venue.
Electricity supply
Electricity is supplied at 230 volts A/C, 50 Hz cycle. Sockets are Schuko type F
